In many times of human history was repressive governments in several countries, different cities, either by Nazism, Communism, wars, military dictatorships, or even by religion.
Currently, in the twenty-first century there is still many places where people suffer because they have no power of expression, and when these people don't respect the tax system they are punished.
In our society, do we have complete freedom to express what we want?
Compared to past historical facts, or other nations, we have kind of full freedom of expression, but what about the media and the control exercised over a whole society, making us puppets?

Does this control leaves us with free minds?

Nietzsche, German philosopher always taught us that true freedom is freedom of spirit and attain knowledge makes us free. Maybe we are mistaken, thinking that we are free and we have the right to express what we think, but in reality we are manipulated by a media idea and conformism forged in the mold of government. Maybe we believe that we have access to information, but the information is nothing more than what they want that we know. A free press purchased by the government to disclose what they want.  Freedom is a utopian concept because it is inherent to human nature the desire to control, and on the other hand, it is inherent to the masses need to be controlled. Knowledge, wisdom, critical thinking, to think free us but consequently puffed humans, often corrupting us.

There never was and never will be completely freedom. Just the idea and conformism.
